How Do I?: Print, Copy, Scan

Printing

The USMA Library uses a print management systems to manage printing within the Library. The networked printers are centrally located on the 2nd floor of Jefferson Hall. 

  • The print server is now: \\print.westpoint.edu\. The printer name is WPPRLIBREF.
  • Make sure you are connected to the WREN when you attempt to connect to a printer. 
  • Use your email credentials, rather than your CAC, when attempting to log in to the print server or the WREN. 
  • If you are still having trouble, please look at https://help.westpoint.edu/ or contact your company ISO. 

 

To release the print job, type your Office 365 username without the @westpoint.edu (twenty characters maximum) at the computers to the right of the printers.

  • If you do not release your print job within thirty minutes, it will be automatically deleted from the print queue.
  • Print jobs must be limited to 50 pages at a time.
  • All pages must be 8.5" x 11"
  • Color printing is not available.

 

Each cadet receives 300 pages per semester for free from the USMA Library.

 

West Point Community: If you do not have a CAC, or are unable to log into a library computer, please see a librarian at the Help Desk for assistance.

Copy

Photocopies can be made using the printer/scanner/copier machines next to the print release area on the 2nd Floor of Jefferson Hall.

 

There is also a copy machine on the 4th Floor in the Reserve Room.

Scan

The copy machine on the 2nd floor can also scan. Follow the prompts to enter your Office 365 username and password (without @westpoint.edu). Choose email address to send scan to. Press start and the scan will be sent to the email address or addresses that were chosen earlier.

Fax

There is not a fax machine available in the library. There are web-based fax services that can be used with scanned or digital documents to send faxes.
